As an insightful empath + survivor of childhood trauma, I have taken time to hash out why I am all up in my feels - what makes me feel good, what doesn’t, and why. #Pisces.
The growth I’ve gone through not only astonishes my therapist, but I’m rather amazed at the ways in which self-knowledge + compassion can change your outer world too.
I have a degree in Comparative Cultures + Politics from Michigan State University - it’s a fancy way of saying that I’m fascinated in + have studied extensively, how the words, images, symbols, music + clothing we use has power to shape our beliefs, identities and the ways in which we interact with one another.
We often act on our emotions – and while the Model United Nations was a little too competitive for me – the Universe directed me to the beauty industry where I’ve found so many of my soul-mate friends, colleagues + clients. I get the biggest goosebumps when I realize how abundant I am in my network of fiercely amazing people.
We work in this industry because we know that “beauty” is a facet of expressing + improving how we feel.
as highly sensitive people, we love the intersection of creativity, care + income opportunities!
What sucks is that often in order to truly excel in our industry, we must show up in a space of entrepreneurship - which is definitely not for the faint of heart!
As a Cosmetology School Educator for 2 and a half years, I mentored thousands of students in practical skills, state-board licensing, classroom education, and life!
But it wasn’t until I decided to explore my own adventures as a solo esthetician that I realized the massive knowledge gap left behind from even the leading-edge trade school.
The tools to harness confidence in self to stand apart + nail the messaging + marketing to attract fantastic clients just isn’t in the curriculum.
Helping the next one in line
makes my heartbeat.
I know that a candle loses nothing by lighting another candle.
I seriously miss my spa studio and all of my clients.
But 2020 was a whirlwind which closed some doors + opened new ones.
It allowed me to devote more time to such a greater calling - instead of caring for my clients 1:1 with deep empathy + transformative compassion, I get to empower YOU to do the same for all your people, thus exponentially creating ripples of awesome.
When I am not cuddling or chasing after my 4 kids, you can find me doing yoga on my back porch, lifting weights, or discussing the wonders of the Universe with my close friends.
I know that when a business and a passion align, it is not only magic, but a true calling unfolds. I help other world-changers tap into their deep awareness of their authentic selves, step into gratitude for their story, align their steps with their purpose + take action in the ways they show up on social media, in public, and for themselves every day.
I believe that our external expressions of beauty are reflecting the inner world, and that all expressions are so valid - our role in the beauty industry is to co-create with our clients their perfect, authentic expression of visual-joy.
